Judy Lyons Schneider was born and raised in New York City. She studied at the Art Students League and New York University. She is the recipient of multiple awards and her work has been exhibited in museums, galleries and universities throughout the country, as well as in Russia.
Solo exhibitions have included The Union Theological Seminary in NYC, Sinclair College in Dayton, Ohio, Interchurch Center in NYC, Piermont Fine Arts Gallery in Piermont, NY, the Printmaking Council of New Jersey in Somerville, NJ, The Gallery in the Program of Study and Gender, Princeton University, NJ, and the Women's Resource Center, Harmony Gallery in the West Coast Symphony's Beatrice Friedman Center, The Longboat Key Center for the Arts, and the Unity Gallery in Sarasota, FL.
In addition to her work as a professional artist, Judy is immediate past President of Women Contemporary Artists (a regional group of about 200 members), is Chair of Area 3 of Florida Artist Group (FLAG) a juried statewide organization,is a Petticoat Painter (a regional invitational group),a member of the Society of Layerists in Multi-Media,and the International Society of Experimental Artists.
Her work can be viewed at the Collectors Wall Gallery in Lakewood Ranch and in Sarasota, FL.
